Kurzbeschreibung:
Screenings and close readings of thirteen international films. Emphasis will be placed on the formal elements specific to the films and their themes, especially in regard to Bresson’s notion of “necessary images” in cinematography.

Teilnahmebedingungen:
Regular attendance (no more than 3 absences). Students receiving 8 ECTS points are required to give a presentation and write a Hausarbeit (8 – 12 pages); 6 ECTS points require a short paper (5 – 8 pages); 4 ECTS points, class participation. Non-credit students are welcome at any of the screenings and discussions.
